MTDW002: Http Header Tool - Tutorial
Introduction
Clicking on the downloaded file will install the Http Header Tool as a Win32 executable on your system.
The tool can be accessed from the Commands menu > MiArt HTTP Header Tool. Click on the thumbnail (right) to see the interface.
For each function simply type the url in the text box (http://.. or www. .. format) and click the function you require.
The tool does not currently work through a proxy server.
Functions
Get Header: HTTP Header retrieval
This function will allow you to easily access the header information of a webpage.
Get Source
This function retrieves the source code of the page and displays it in the dialogue box below the URL text box - by right clicking over the text you can copy the source code.
Ping
Allows you to ping any server.
Resolve: Resolve IP address
Resolves IP or domain of the server.
Whois
Allows you to look up the whois information for a domain name.
Traceroute
Traces the server route between your IP address and a specified server.
Online Help
Clicking here will bring up the online help.
Exit
Closes the application
