Visual C++

MiArt has developed various systems in Visual C++ and MFC. From a large three-tier front shop pharmacy system, to database browsers and editors to general utilities. MiArt has a number of years experience writing business objects in Visual C++ and COM.

Visual Basic
(VB)

MiArt has used Visual Basic for a number of RAD (Rapid Application Development) projects, including management reporting tools, small to middle sized databases and general utilities. Visual Basic makes an excellent GUI front end for three-tier systems

Delphi

Also a RAD tool, Delphi has been used for GUI systems, front ends to COM systems and small databases

COM

MiArt specialises in business objects written primarily in COM (Component Object Model). MiArt has worked on a number of projects that implemented COM as the object model, allowing communication between objects written in Visual C++, Visual Basic and Delphi. COM is an excellent solution for connecting legacy systems to modern environments.

Databases

MiArt has considerable experience working with Microsoft Access and SQL Server, as well as other ODBC data sources. MiArt has worked with both DAO and ADO to facilitate data communication in both small database projects and large three-tier systems. MiArt also has extensive experience of multi-user systems and large desktop databases.
